The problem

Most trades sites lose the call before it happens.

When someone needs a plumber now — or is planning a remodel — they Google you on their phone and size you up in seconds. Here’s where contractors leak those jobs:

01

No obvious way to call. The number isn’t tappable or isn’t up top, so the homeowner taps the competitor who made it one tap.

02

Slow on mobile. They’re standing in the driveway; a slow page loses them before it loads.

03

No proof of work. No before/after photos, no reviews, no license/insured badge — so a stranger won’t let you into their home.

04

Unclear service area + dated. They can’t tell if you even cover their town, and the site looks abandoned.

Proof

Don’t take my word for it — here’s a rebuild.

Before

The original site — slow on mobile, no tappable call, no proof of work.

Placeholder — real screenshot pending the first build.

After

Fast, click-to-call, before/after gallery, reviews surfaced, quote form.

Placeholder — real screenshot + measured numbers pending the first build.

Demonstration build — coming

This is where the real before/after lands: same company, bad site → fast site, with mobile PageSpeed before/after, click-to-call added, a quote form, and reviews + project photos surfaced. It will be labeled clearly as a demonstration build until a client site is live.

Real page, real numbers. This is exactly what I’d do for your company.

How it works

Three steps. Two weeks. One person who answers.

01

Free teardown.

I record a short walkthrough of your current site showing exactly what’s costing you calls and jobs — yours to keep, no obligation.

02

Built in two weeks.

You give ~30 minutes of input (logo, services, a few job photos). I handle everything else and show you a draft.

03

You own it — I keep it running.

Launch day, everything’s in your name. An optional care plan keeps it fast, secure, and seasonally ready.

Why Websitewright

You own it. That’s the difference.

The big web companies rent contractors a website and lock them into a 12-month contract. Leave, and you lose the site. I build you a site you own outright and can take anywhere. It’s also fast, built only for trades, and run by one person who actually answers — not a support queue.

The guarantee

What you’re guaranteed.

You own everything.

Domain, code, content, hosting, and CMS are in your accounts from day one. Leave whenever you want and take it all. No lock-in.

You approve it before it goes live.

Nothing launches until you’ve seen it and signed off, and one round of revisions is included to get it right.

Fast, and I prove it.

90+ mobile PageSpeed, measured, with the before/after to show you.

You work directly with me.

Start to finish. No account managers, no support queue.

Pricing

Transparent pricing. One build, two optional add-ons.

Website build

$3,500 flat

2 weeks · you own it (Premium $5,500)

Care Plan

Get Found

from $299/mo

Optional — reviews + Google Business Profile + local SEO/Local Services Ads. Managed expectations, no #1 guarantees.

What’s not included

A flat price means a fixed scope.

To keep the price flat and the timeline tight, a standard build doesn’t include:

Custom web apps or booking systems beyond a simple scheduler
Logo or brand design
Ongoing SEO and ads (that’s the separate Get Found plan)

Need one of those? I’ll quote it separately.

About

A small studio, on purpose.

Photo of [You], founder of Websitewright

I’m [You]. [One line on your background — fill in.] I started Websitewright because [why — fill in]. It’s a one-person studio in [Kansas City area], and that’s on purpose. I’d rather do a handful of sites right than crank out dozens.

A wright is a maker who builds — a wheelwright builds wheels, a shipwright builds ships. A websitewright builds websites, properly.

FAQ

Questions, answered straight.

How much, and how long?
$3,500 flat, live in about two weeks.
Do I really own it?
Yes — domain, code, and content are in your accounts. No lock-in; leave any time with everything.
What do you need from me?
About 30 minutes. Your logo, your services, your service area, a few real job photos, and your Google reviews link. I write the copy and handle the rest.
I already have a website or domain — can you use it?
Yes. I rebuild on a fast, modern foundation and move your domain into your own account. You keep the domain. I make it faster.
I’m not technical. Is that a problem?
No. I handle everything technical. After launch, changing your hours or a service is as easy as editing a document, or I do it for you on the care plan.
You’re a one-person studio. What if you’re unavailable?
Fair question. Two things protect you. First, you own everything — domain, code, content, and hosting are in your own accounts, fully documented, so any developer can pick it up. You’re never locked to me. Second, the optional care plan keeps the site backed up and maintained. You’re buying an asset you control, not a dependency on one person.
I get all my work by word of mouth — do I even need this?
That’s exactly why it matters: a referral Googles you and checks your site and reviews before they call. A weak site loses warm leads you already earned.
My nephew/buddy built my site.
Great starting point — but if it’s not getting calls or loading fast on a phone, that’s lost jobs, not a design opinion. Happy to show you in the free teardown.
What’s the care plan, and is it required?
Optional. It keeps the site fast, secure, backed up, and seasonally ready, with small edits handled for you. You own the site whether or not you keep it.
What if I want to cancel the care plan?
Cancel any time with 30 days’ notice. You still own the site, the domain, and everything else. The care plan keeps it healthy; it doesn’t hold it hostage.
Will you get me to #1 on Google?
No honest person guarantees that. The optional Get Found plan does the real work — reviews, Google Business Profile, local SEO/LSA — and reports what it’s actually doing.
